I was starting to feel a little rusty. I hadn't shot in a while. I have a tendency to lean towards the whole "If you don't use it, you lose it" sort of mentality and because I am naturally strong willed, I was determined...rain or shine, I would shoot over the weekend.
SO. I called on my very photogenic and sweet friend Trevor. Not only is she a great model, but she is a talented songwriter and background vocalist. [It always amazes me that this town is so full of multi-talented people.]
Next. I had decided on my subject, but needed the what and where. I had imagined something sporty before asking Trevor and oddly enough... so had she.
We both had been in a rut recently and this powerful and strong themed photoshoot happened to be exactly what we needed.
Sometimes when you don't feel completely confident in yourself- maybe your body, your craft, career choice, living situation, whatever it might be... it can be hard to feel established and that the odds aren't actually against you. To feel s t r o n g. Or for lack of a better word... finding your inner boss b*tch.
As I shot these, we both realized in different ways how strong we actually are. How hard work pays off and that "just keep moving" is the new mantra.
